Dont know what to think about these 18s. My mind is dizzy. EDIT: wasnt on purpose copying the topic on the post below, i posted this and i hadnt refreshed the page. Im amazed by the coincidence.(or whatever its called)

twas coincidence. A likely one though I think because people on twitter started tweeting pics of it just a few minutes ago. Bigger brakes are a possibility though I'm sure teams would be concerned about weight. I wonder what kind of tweaks Lotus had to do to the suspension to run those rims.

i read somewhere that one of the reasons is so the development of formula 1 tires is more applicable to road sport cars tires.

They can easily make them go race distance, the current tyres have designed-in degradation to force pitstops and 'promote overtaking'.
